O.K. here is the deal, I have an 04 CR250R with maybe 10 hours on it. I have ridden it like 5 times and mind you these are not hard runs, I am brand new to dirt riding and really just poking around. We went riding this weekend and everything worked fine, we put it on the trailer and brought it home and my buddy noticed it was really hard to push even with the clutch pushed in. Come to find out it is not disengaging. The free play is good, and I took the cover on the left side off and you can see it actuating a rod that looks like it goes into the transmission, I took the right side cover off and drained the fluid, the fluid looked O.K. just a little milky and I was going to change it after this ride anyway, but it didn't look nasty. With the clutch cover off you can see the very most outboard plate move in and out but none of the others and it is still stuck in gear unless you move it to neutral. Anyone have any ideas, I can take pics or something if that would help anyone come up with an idea, It just doesn't make sense that it worked all day and then when I bring it home something is messed up, it has to be something simple. And I didn't have the straps going over the cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the cover off you will see much movement in the plates.

How does the clutch act with the engine idling? It would not hurt to take this apart and look for a broken plate or other damage. The clutch is very simple. You've done the hard work allready (dealing with the oil and cover).

The milky fluid does not sund too good. Was it cold or did you do a lot of water crossings?

I didn't try to run it after I got it home, I wanted to get it cleaned up cause it was fairly dirty and I didn't go buy the carwash, I don't really like to do that anyway unless it is super muddy, as far as playing in the water, yeah a couple of times I had to go through a creek that was 3 or so feet deep. Also this is the first time I have changed the fluid after break in.
