Finally breaking down and ordering a Rekluse EXP for the RM250. "Zach" at Rekluse convinced me their friction plates are "As good as, if not better then OEM." Got a Hinson basket in the bike, gunna go with new frictions and steels now too. Suzuki clutches aren't the best, but I've never found plates that are better than OEM. May very well just order-up some OEM steels, but looking for imput/experience on better quality steels... or at least as-good-as OEM/cheaper?

Thanks, John

Totally overwhelmed, confused and bewildered with all the input. :p

OEM on the way... ;)

I've never used anything but OEM. And I've never ever replaced or had a reason to replace an OEM steel plate, just the fibers. I suspect I'm not alone.

I've never worn out a steel plate. I used to go through the aluminum drive plates Honda had but not the steel.

Thinking back, I don't think I've ever replaced steels either. These were obviously overheated... so discolored I didn't even bother checking for warpage...
