Hey Guys!

Hope you can help me out here. My bike, a cr250f 2004 battles to start when its cold, but once i get it started and the bike gets up to running temp, the problem goes away. The valves have been changes recently so i dont think its got anything to do with that.

Hope you can give me some advise!

Thanks

is it a cr250 or a crf250r.

i think you mean the r cuz that is a 4 stroke. most 4t's are hard to start when it is cold. you want to have the jetting rich i think.

Obviously its a CRF250R, he says in the post that the valves have been recently changed.

Do these bikes have an accelerator pump? A couple of twists of the throttle prior to kicking may help it start while cold.

If that doesn't work, the crf's generally have lean pilot circuits to a step larger pilot jet. It made a big difference in mine.
