I reacently baught a 76 Maico aw250 and it just seems to be down on power. Installed new carb round slide mikuni and jetted it in and also did all the normal stuff, checked pipe no clogs, checked timming 1.8mm btdc, installed new air filter. This bike was baught over e-bay and I seem to remember them having more punch than this one!
When checking the compression I did it with the throttle WFO and the check was done wet and dry still I am at 150psi, wet or dry.
Can some one tell me if this is normal? Seems it should be arround 180 to 210psi on a good cylinder when checked wet. Also manual makes no mention of what the compression should be.
