I'm the first of my family whose Not Canadian. So I usually root for Canada right behind the US of A. And with the 50 year gold medal drought, I should have been super happy for the Canadians.

But Wayne Gretzky's whiny little hissy fit, complete with USA bashing and claims of bias, earlier in the week, coupled with all the camera shots of *him* today when his team was winning, really made this an unpleasant, rather than inspiring, moment, for me. :mad:

Being a Canadian hockey fan, I completely understood where he was coming from with his speech. There sometimes seems to be a Canada vs. the World atmosphere when it comes to hockey.

What are your thoughts/opinions on NHL ice vs. Olympic ice?

I like the Olympic ice a little better.. Things sure are faster paced. With the talk of making the NHL 4on4 hockey, I'd much rather see the ice get bigger instead.
