What do they consist of?
I heard the top end kits consist of a piston,(2) rings,(2) sets of head and base gaskets, circlips, and a piston pin. If that is true you could install new piston and ring from the kit then later install a new ring with fresh gaskets. The microfiche looks like it only contains a single set of gaskets and a single ring. Anyone know how many rings and gaskets the kits include?

The kit I am looking at is for a 1999 RM125 part#12100-43861 and is $95.77
The microfiche is at http://www.bikebandit.com

I called 2 local dealers who have no idea and get this, I called Suzuki and they don't know either

Any of the kits I've ordered for my RM have only come with one set of gaskets. I haven't heard of any kits with two sets, but I've only bought a couple of brands.

The OEM kits I'ive gotten for a 97 include 1 piston,2 rings , 2 sets of head o-rings, 2 base gaskets, 2 circlips and a wristpin. It did not include the powervalve cover gaskets or orings.

I personally will only use OEM top end parts and this kit is a best buy IMHO.

Thanks Berno. Would that happen to be Suzuki part#12100-43842 and labeled as "TOP END KIT" ?

If so it is exactly the same item I see for my 99 model which is part#12100-43861
They are listed on the same microfiche
