Cr 85 : is it all its cracked up to be?

Is the Cr 85 all everyone says it is? I think that a cr 80 still wouldv'e smoked the competition but they stopped running them in the shootouts in magazines because it wasn't an 85. I think that they didn't really change it they just said it was an 85 so it could run in the shootout, win, and get way more advertising.

The cr80 was actually a cr83.6 or something like that. I believe Dirt Rider mag didnt test it a while back because they didnt recieve it from Honda in time for the test.

I have a cr80 2002 lovin it but I never hear much about them anywhere

all the major mags (dirt rider, db, mxa) do an 85 shootout every year. Dirt bike mag did theres this month. I'm guessing dirt rider is next.

I think the bikes are great. Good frame and chassis. EASY top end rebuilds due to no powervalve. Nice on a smaller bike that needs frequent top end work.
