Cr125 car motor oil ???

Hi there i wanted to know if it is safe to use car oil in my cr125??? The oil im using is Castrol 20W 50. Is this ok for the bike and most inportantly safe ????

That seems kind of heavy, the Honda manual calls for a 10-40w. Also it recommends an oil that does not say "energy saving" in that little circle on the bottle.

If I were you I wouldn't run any thing but gear oil for a 2stroke gear box its made for the wet clutch. I would run 80weight in a 125. I use maxmia 85weight it works great and my clutch doesn't slip or grab at all.

Yes you can use 10w40 or 20w50, but the 20w50 will drag a bit so I would stick with the 10w40. I bought some for 59 cents a quart the other day at checkers, so I change it often.

Here is the oil recommendation of the day...

Shell Rotella T 15W-40.

It's a SL, non-energy conserving (read "old school) oil. Best of all, it about $6 a GALLON from Wal*Mart.
