I searched this but I didn't find anything that helped me much.

I am going to purchase a 2005 Honda Cr125R and have a few questions about it.

First, What is a good octane gas to run in it? 93? Can you run 110 octane on a fairly stock motor, without damaging it?

Second, What is a good oil to mix with the gas. Synthetic? Any special brands that I should use?

Third, Would 40:1 be a good mix for it?

And finally, What do flywheel weights do? I'm under the impression that they help with trail riding purposes?

Thanks in advance,
Kenny. AKA KD 428

93 would probably be sufficient. You should only run higher octane if there is a need for it. IE you have detonation issues. You won't develop more horsepower just by running the higher octane.

I'd stick with 32:1, as that's the factory recommended mix. Use any good quality premix that you can buy at the bike shop. None of that crap you find at Walmart.

Flywheel weights add turning mass to the flywheel to help smooth the power delivery.

Either of those should be fine..

I personally use Mobil 1 MX2T. It's available at most any reputable auto parts chain store, so it's not hard to find.

Should I use Synthetic or non-synthetic?

As long as you are using good quality oil it doesn't matter.
