Does spring (lifter ) plate bolt all the way down to pressure plate towers?????? or should there be gap ????
I put in an aftermarket clutch ("KG Clutch Factory" brand.)
New springs were shorter than OEM. So I put in OEM springs.
If I tightened spring plate all the way to pressure plate, I could see the springs were completely compressed and clutch felt solid/ no spring movement!!!
If I backed off spring plate bolts: Everything was fine.
After pondering situation: Its seems that clutch could be "tuned" by changing spring plate postion (spring tension)
