RC Valve Question

I am rebuilding a 2006 cr250 for the first time the crank rod has play in it up and down so its shot.

I wanted to know what the favored brand for a replacement is I was leaning towards the hot rod crank with wiseco piston complete kit. Any advise would be great thanks.

RC VALVE QUESTION: I cant get the rc valve off the cylinder I have tried using a rubber hammer but it wont move. I'm not having problems I was just going to clean it up while I had the bike apart. Any suggestions on how to remove the housing from the cylinder?

Personally, I would go with a hotrods crank, and an OEM piston kit. I have experienced issues with the wiseco cranks failing early, and the wiseco pistons not fitting properly (too much clearance). Just my 2 cents from engine building experience, the choice is totally up to you !!!

FWIW, when I replaced the crank in my old '99CR, the price for OEM from Mach 1 Motorsports in Vacaville, CA was very close to the Wiseco, so I went with OEM.

Service Honda is also a sponsor on this site, and known for good prices on OEM parts.
