i'm trying to split the crankcase on my 1985 KX125 and i need to get the ignition rotor off. i can't. i don't know if it's rusted on or what. i've sprayed plenty of liquid wrench in there to penetrate any rust, i've tried 2 separate gear pullers to try to pull it out, but i can't get it. can anyone help me?

Mikey.

I'm not that familar with the KX125, but if it is like most flywheels you need to use the correct puller. Most gear pullers pull from the outside diameter of the flywheel and this can damage the flywheel.

You may want to take the engine to your local Dealer and for a small charge they should be able to remove the flywheel for you. It should be a lot less than the cost of a replacement flywheel.

Just my $ .02
