Just put a new set of bars on my kdx, and am also replacing the grips. The throttle side grip was original, and after slicing it with a box knife, I've learned that it will likely take much elbow grease to get the residual rubber off.

Any suggestions on the best way to de-gum this thing?

Thanks

I bought a set of ODI grips.. 18 bucks from rockymountainatv.com..

They come mounted on a throttle tube on that side, and a plastic tube with lock rings on the left side.

No more glue, safety wire, hair spray or any of that junk.

And no twisting at all. Plus, when it's time for new grips, you can change them out in a few minutes with basic tools.. No cutting them off.

Hey, for 18 bucks, you really can't beat them. Plus, the grips themselves are pretty good.
