I have a friend (girl) that currently rides an 03 CRF 230. She likes the power but is looking for more. She rides trails and wants to race in the future. As you know we are unable to test ride any bikes so I am hoping to get some info from the folks @ dirtrider.net The KX 100 is quite a bit lighter and I know the power would be different, but how would it compare to the peak power output of the 230? We are looking at possibly lowering a KX 125 a few inches so she can touch her feet to the ground. She is 5'5" approx. 120lbs. I know the KX 125 would be a little high strung thru the trails and am wondering if the KX 100 would be the next step for her? She rides very well and should have no problem with the 2 stroke power. thanks in advance for the help!
