I know this subject has been gone over a few times before, but now that more of you have a CRF 450. I will ask again what type of oil seem to work good in the "engine" side of the bike. I broke my bike in on a petroleum based Torco 10-40 (about 4 oil changes) then tried a pure sythetic redline 10-40 and it seem to consume that at a regular pace, so I went to a Sythetic blend (Castrol Actevo 10-40) and it doesn't consume it as fast as the pure sythetic, but I still have to add some oil every 3 hours of riding. I do change it every 6 to 8 hours of riding and also have a Stainless filter (very handy). I wish there was something that was priced moderately that still worked well. Any advise or suggestions would be appeciated.
