Hi, I am finally allowed to get a bike if i get straight as, which i can do so i chose the CRF100F as the bike i want. I am 14 and about 5'0.5, 120lbs. I am allowed to get up to 120cc, but I have to buy used, so I figured the CR100F is a good starter bike, what do you guys think i should get, i would like something with some power.
edit:no experiance, but friends who race and are willing to teach me how to ride

CRF's a good bike, but also keep your eyes open for a KX100. Lots more potential there. If you get good fast, you'll outgrow the CRF.

Are you 5' 1/2" or 5' 5"?

yeah i meant 5"1/2, i was told that a 4 stroke is best for a beginner, but would i be able to ride a 2 stoke, given that i never rode a dirt bike (but my friend would teach me on his 110cc racing bike, which might be 2 stoke)?

Look for a used Honda XR100R. You should be able to pick one up cheap. Learn on this, then upgrade to something like the KX100 or CRF150R or maybe even bigger depending how much you grow.

I started out on a 2-stroke... 4-strokes are very easy to ride and learn on.. (the smaller ones) But you would probebley be looking to upgrade sometime in the not to to distant future.....

either way you'll be happy.. 2-stroke i think will last you alittle longer in the fun department... and it will teach you better riding skills for the future...

well u might have to go with the 2 stroke because u are already overgrown on what u are allowed so mabe a cr85 would be the best.
