I weigh 200# and i'm looking to get stiffer springs for my bike. Looking at stock CRF450 springs, they seem to be a close match. They are .47 for the forks and 5.5 for the shock. The MX-tech spring rate generator doesn't have the crf250 in it yet but from using the crf450 as a guidline, the springs that the generator recomends seems to be on the light side. Are the MX-tech springs lighter so that they work better with a re-valve from mx-tech?

According to racetech.com for a 2004 CRF250 you should be using .45 fork springs and 5.1 shock if your 200lbs and ride motocross preferring standard stiffnes at beginner/novice riding ability.

That is practically stock except for the shock. Not sure why that is. My buddy says his CRF250 is very stiff stock. He's putting in lighter springs and he weighs 180lbs.
