last two tranny oil changes found water mixed in slightly.manual says if radiator fluid is leaking out of hole near the pump that the tranny seal is leaking, but that isn't happening here.I do ride in wet conditions from time to time.Is there a tranny vent that could be sucking up the water from the mud holes i find myself in?Is anyone else having this problem?the radiator fluid isn't too low,I just did a tranny oil change and i'm going to put some "dry" riding time on her and change the oil again.

There is a breather hose on the transmission side. A metal tube protruding from the cases behind the barrel and clutch, it has a black hose conected to it that runs down between your shock linkages.
Has it actually used any substantual amount of coolant? To put your mind at rest try pressure testing the cooling system.
hope this helps :thumb:

christopher.

Do you use the quarter car wash to wash your bike? Ok, I know it cost more than a quarter.

If you do, don't use hot water. The hot water against the cold cases can cause condensation inside the engine or gearbox. This also happens on wheel hubs and anything that is sealed.

If the water is not coming from the water pump or breather tube it could be condensation.

i have added around 3 oz of coolant.i believe this is normal due to the coolant trickling out when its hot .today i should get the oil changed and i'll should know if there is a serious problem.thanks for the advice-
