Tony, I'm pretty sure Noise Ninja has both a "stand alone" program as well as a plug in for CS2.

I use "Neat Image" its a great program for removing noise.

Tried it, pretty decent, just the ninja's kung-fu is is much stronger.

I'll second Noise Ninja as the tool to use. It works incredibly well with the default settings, and as you learn to tweak the settings it only gets better.

Great tool to salvage those high ISO shots. :cool:

Thanks all for the great input. I will check it out this morning.

I shoot a lot of handheld at ASA 1600 (I'm too old school to call it ISO :)) under low and very low light conditions. If I remember correctly the D20 will go to 3200, but it takes some work to get there.

No work at all, Go to Custom Functions in the menu and turn Custom Function # 8 ISO expansion to on.
