From a Happy Dad,
I posted this in the woman's forum as it is about my daughter.
She is 9 years old, rides a 03' XR50R and tried her first hare scramble this weekend. She LOVED it , and was looking through the schedule this morning on the upcoming events. I just wish there were more in the state of Iowa.
As a matter a fact, there probably isn't another person in here from Iowa. Is There ?
Well, just an FYI , that there are still young girls that are racing and loving to do it. We intentionally just went there to spectate but good ole' dad just happen to take the bike and gear along. Well, sure enough, about 15 min. before the race she wanted to race so we were signing up at the last minute.
Anyway from a Happy Camper Dad,
Raz

Congratulations Raz!

The ole take the bike along "just in case" works well with the little girls! Mine has raced off & on since she was 5 yo. Now at 9 she's on a KX60 and thinking about racing more and more (she see's her big brother's trophy collection and wants to get trophies too). She raced a couple rounds here locally and got faster & faster every race. She actually said she would listen to her bro & let him teach her how to go faster.

I always take her bike even if she isn't too sure about racing that day - 9 times out of 10 it gets to see the track or trail. I never push her though, if she doesn't want to do it the bike sits in the truck.
