Actually the V-3 is a major improvement over the V-2. The internal reed cage design has really become engine specific, unlike the V-2's.
In dyno testing on a YZ 125 with the V-2, we lost 1/2 to 1 HP over the stock reed cage right up the dyno curve.
The V-3 on the other hand, matched the std reed valve up to peak. Then added 1/2 HP and over rev. Thats a major improvement over the V-2.
So my advise is to get the V-3 or go back to the stock reed cage. For sure don't run with the V-2 anymore.
