I spoke with Jeff at MotoTassinari today, and he feels like MT "really did their homework" with the new DFIII. The new reeds are situated at a 45 degree angle, and are longer than in the DFII. This means that even though the new reeds themselves are stiffer, they apparently function "looser"...meaning great low-end response, and, I suppose improved response throughout the rpm range. They are showing a KDX part number - V313A - so it appears that the DFIII is now available.
