Put some different side plastics on it, new rear fender, new one industries seat cover ($5 on ebay!!!), fork guard decals, and gave her a good cleaning! In the progress of restoring this bike to showroom condition as it's one of the last years of the 250 2 stroke!

Before with older race plastic:

Newer "clean" look:

Not a fan of that particular seat cover, it would look ok with the matching graphics kit but not on it's own for my tastes. I've always hated the naked yellow number plates on the zooks, I always put white backgrounds on them if I ended up with the yellow plastic. Based on the original seat and the forks on that bike it looks like on 01 or 02, they still had RM250's until 08.

Yeah, the plain yellow in the rear looks pretty naked. The graphics and seat cover clash a bit.

I think I liked the before better, sorry.

I like it better the new way......different strokes yo. I'm a KX man personally, but if I had to roll another way......zook would be the way I'd roll. As far as what we like.........does it really matter ??? The only way you should want someone to see your bike is from the rear while throwin' dirt in their face.

I think a trim kit and backgrounds would make a world of difference. Those RMs are sharp bikes. I loved the look of mine. I just prefer my bikes blinged up a bit. :whoa: I guess that's what happens when you can't ride fast enough. :) At least my bike looks fast. ;)

I like it both ways. Either way, it's a sharp ride man. I tend to like the cleaner look, so the naked rear doesn't bother me. A plain black or white background back there would look pretty trick though.
