Difference between NGK plugs

Same question: Mine came with a BR9 S and my owner's manual calls for a BR9 EVX.

The short answer,

125's usually take a "9" heatrange plug and 250's usually take an "8" heat range plug. BR8EG is a "hotter" plug than a BR9EG. Using a "hotter" plug than recomended can cause increased combustion chamber temperatures. This may cause melting of the spark plug electrode and/or piston.

You will be fine with a BR9EG, BR9E, BR9EIX, ect....
