Difference Between Old DR and new DRZ Rear Suspension

Hello:
I have 6 DR 350's and really like them. But recently on a trip to the local dealer I looked at a DRZ. I noticed there was a difference in the rear shock linkage. The DR has a mount on the top of the swingarm for the linkage and the DRZ has it on the bottom. I was wondering why they changed it and if it reall was better? Thanks for anyones help! Brian

the new drz has excellent suspension compared to the old dr.the forks and shock are very modern and have great set-up potential.

New DrZ is very good just a bit lightly sprung . Good components . What you need to do is figure out a way so you could ride all 6 Drs at once . Imagine all that DRz power 2100ccs on tap at once . WOW
