I mean this in the nicest way. The bike is great, but the airbox appears to be sucking dirt for no apparent reason. The airfilter is in good shape. We are using bel ray filter oil, applied properly.

Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do about it?

I have a 2002 cr80.it sucked dirt once.We were ridng in this really powdery stuff and it went right through.I aways put filter skins on from thereafter.haven't had a problem since.I won't ride anymore if it gets that dusty again eather it's not worth it .

I have a 2002 cr80.it sucked dirt once.We were ridng in this really powdery stuff and it went right through.I aways put filter skins on from thereafter and always clean your filter after every ride.haven't had a problem since.I won't ride anymore if it gets that dusty again eather, it's not worth it .oh also check to make shure the airbox gasket isn't leeking anywere ether that could happen

The bigger CR's had a problem with the seal between the airbox and the boot going to the carb, along with the filter cage sealing to the airbox.
