Do I need stiffer springs?

According to my owner's manual (03 CR250), the stock springs in the forks are for 150-160 pound riders. I am about 200. Do I HAVE to put stiffer springs, or can I stay with the stock ones? I am pretty clueless when it comes to suspension stuff. Also Jeremy, you mentioned your tuning guide in another thread. Where might I find that at? Thanks!

i would think heavier rate springs would help. while you are at mx tech, plug in your details into the spring rate generator and go from there... new springs front and rear are avaialble for less than $200 total

I think I am going to get the stiffer springs. In the meantime though, will it hurt anything to ride it as is? Thanks for the info. These forums are great! :worship:
