Do my Cells need updated???

I purchased my Cells direct from Asterisk a little over a year ago. I love them and could not imagine riding without them. My question is in regard to product updates to the extension cables or other parts. Given my time of purchase, is it necessary or would it be wise to send them in for any updates? Please advise.
