Lost my cyber-namesake tonight. He was just too much of a dog..had to go range and got nailed by a car. Broke his back. We had to put him down. Its amazing how emotional you can get over an animal. Its just a damn dog! But he was a bud and I will miss him. Best dog we ever had. Think its time to change the handle.

No matter how much I hate this small horse (which likes to chew on anything and everything) that my wife calls her yellow lab, I have grown somewhat attached to her and would miss her if she was gone.

Sorry for your loss, man. :(

Very sorry for your loss. I have Rhodesian Ridgeback, and I don't know what I would do if something would happen to him--not to mention my wife. On Thanksgiving day, I forgot and left the gate open to the back yard, and later that night my wife let him out to go to the bathroom. After about 20 or 30 minutes and he wasn't back at the door whining to come in, we knew something was wrong, and that's when I remembered the gate. I don't know if I was ever as scared as I was that night, and I have never seen my wife so upset. I didn't know what to do. I had never lost a dog in the city before. We split up and walked around the neighborhood for about an hour calling for him, and finally he came to me about half a mile away from the house. Call me a wuss, but I cried tears of joy when I seen him. So I know where you're coming from, and again, am very sorry to hear that.

Weimedog - SORRY for your loss! It's tough when you loose a member of the family, we lost 2 last year - I do understand. I look back at the great times we with them and that's worth a smile!

I'm sorry to hear that. I sat down and cried with my Samoyed when I moved out and had to leave him behind.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Weimedog. I never did get to say good-bye to my wolf-hybrid, Sandra. She was put to sleep (due to the rapid advancement of cancer) while I was on a fishing trip with our (at the time) new Husky puppy. She was my friend and my guardian... I leave out angel because she was anything BUT. I can't imagine how hard it was for you to have to say good-bye to your family member. My condolences.

Walt,
I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great dog and I'm going to miss him when I come up to ride. :( It hurts so much when you loose a dog because they are so innocent and they give complete and unconditional love, no matter what.
