My dad has a 1982 Suzuki DR 400 that was given to him about 4 years ago, since then we have been working on it.
It starts really easy and idles smooth and steady and has great compreson, but as soon as we give a little throttle it starts to run really rough, has no power and the RPMs will not pick up.
we have cleaned the carb about 15 times and checked the timeing and valves we have put a new spark plug in it and tried a new (coil or CDI box, not sure what the exact name is)
we evan took the exhaust off to see if the was too much back presser, and it still runs the same way.
Maybe one of you can give somthing new to look for.
Thanks
