Has anyone done taken a DR-Z125L and swapped in a bigger motor ?? Now before you all say just get a bigger bike, my wife is only 5 foot tall and the hight of the DR-Z125 is perfect with the BBR srpings, so what I want to do is try and put a 250 or something motor in the bike ??????? any ideas anyone ???

Thanks,

you may want to look at an XT200 engine - also, check out the sherpa 250 - another good bet is the KX100 - what seat height is she comfortable with ?

32" which is the stock height of the DR-Z125 is perfect for her. Th BBR springs stiffen up the suspension perfect for an adult rider too. Her bike is 2003 DR-Z125 so its pretty new, she just wants to get more power now.

The chassis is the weak spot on that bike. It's barely capable of handling the little 9 horsepower 125 engine, so a bigger heavier engine won't make things better.

A big bore 150 kit and a pipe will give the bike a nice power increase without sarificing the good qualities it already has. Check www.powroll.com for some good engine options.
