Drugs in MX!

I read that the number 2 rider in 250 MXGP failed a drug test for pseudoephidrine and caffine.

but to be fair, half of the stuff you get from the drug store of the shelf would send you over the limit.

pretty much one allergy pill and your gonna fail...if he was failing for coke or something I might care but when you fail for over the counter stuff it seems kinda wrong. A kid can buy it off the shelf but you can't use it while riding???

Yeah, if he had a cold recently he could easily have failed for pseudoephedrine. And caffiene? Why would they even test for these two? :|

he was a hayfever pill, but he should have gone to the docotr thats on that series and should him what he had and asked was it ok to take and that, rules are rules, just hopefully they see it for what it is, hayfever medicne nothing else, how can it improve your riding, if he had a desk job and had a drug test taken and it said he failed would you fire him cos he took drugs that a doc gave to him??

There is a list of banned substances that is quite easy to read. If you accidentally fail a drug test at a race you're just plain stupid.

I only race for fun and still check for everything I take in the list, how can someone whose livelyhood depends on it go ahead and do something like this is beyond me.
