Do the crank bearings too. Take a good look and check specs on the rod bearing, if there is ANY question have it replaced. There is NO point in going that far and leaving the old rod bearing in. If it fails, it fails big-time and does much damage. It probably isn't in all that good a shape anyway, having dealt with bad crank seals for who knows how long. [/QUOTE]
