exhaust bungs for washing

Hi when washing my bike i use a bit of rag and put it in the exhaust i dont pack it in really tight i put it in just enough to stop water, but today when washing my bike i forgot to take the bit of rag out when starting the bike to put in the garage, do you think this would damage it?

the rag blew out i think when it started cos it was lying where i had the bike

It's fine. That's how you kill a nitro RC engine, you plug the exhaust.

I've attempted starting my bike plenty of times with my fmf plug in the silencer, and on a few occasions actually gotten it to start and it just rockets that thing out of there. There's no harm done whatsoever...

awsome lol cos ive just rebuilt it i was worried incase it damaged it.
