Sharla (FC22) survived just fine. She is recuperating at her mothers. She may not be on the forums much for a while as she is still in major discomfort.
She's got a status thread running on the Women's Forum.
Thanks all. Just posted a progress report in the women's forum. I'm still pretty drugged up (not as much fun as it sounds) so I don't hurt too badly. They have me on Percoset and Oxycotin (sp?) which is some pretty hardcore stuff. I sleep a lot. They didn't give me a drain, and it didn't bleed much. There are only about 4 holes and one incision less than an inch long. So there won't be any major scars. I am still learning crutches, and am very clumsy. The nerve block wearing off is the most uncomfortable part. I go in for my first PT appointment Monday evening.
That's all I can think to share with you. If you haven't been on over to the women's forum, I tore my ACL as well as the MCL and the meniscus. As soon as I return to a scanner I will post pics. Thank you all for your concern.
That percoset's some very serious stuff Firecracker. My mom had some major surgery on her shoulder a few months ago, and they gave her percoset. After her surgery, she was very awake, but her memory didn't last 5 minutes. She asked us 10 times in the period of an hour if we had met the doctor. She continued to ask us for the next three days. The 'perky'set made my mom really awake and hyper for like 10 hours, then lifeless for like 2 days...Hope you get feeling better.
Yes, the percoset and percodan's are pretty strong. My fav. had to to be the morhpine, tho! Good luck and I hope you recovery does not SEEM longer than it is since you will be off a bike.:)
