I have had a couple kx 250s and the front lever has always had a mushy feel.
Stopping power was never a problem but I couldnt get over the feel.
So today I swapped out an entire front brake ysytem from a cr250. Swap went well right down to the new kx250 lever I installed.
guess what mushy brakes. Now these just came off of a honda with great feeling lever action. so I am perplexed.
Anyhow I put the bent honda lever back on and presto chango sweet feeling front brakes.
new honda lever and ........ sweet feeling front brakes.
So I search DRN for Kawi brake mushiness and see that I am not the only person to ever have this problem. I am probably the least mechanically inclined person to have the problem but oh well I fixed it and I love my new brakes.
If you own a kawi and your brakes feel like a sponge just get a honda lever.
