Flooding?

I have a 1999 YZ-125. Got in a trade a couple years ago. Blew the lower rod bearing. Put new crank, main bearings, seals, gaskets, rod, piston, ring, etc... Ran perfect for a month or so. Sat for a weekend, suddenly won't run for more than a second (literally), then seems to flood. I take the plug out dry it off throw it back in and get the same thing, a second of fire and dies.

Fuel is good (running 32:1), compression is good (150-160), spark is good, float not sticking, carbs clean, jets clean, intake's clean, reed valves good.... :bang:

Any advice appreciated.

Sure sounds like a carb issue. Needle valve? Need to change them every so often. I'd go back through the carb.

I'd be willing to bet the bottom end is full of fuel as well.

X2 on the float valve.
