Im asking for a buddy, so im unsure of the year of his kx 250. I think it is a 02. Anyway, shouldn't matter. We ride tight trails in nor-cal and were wondering about flywheel weights and found three deferent sizes available, 9,11, and 13. My question is which one he should go with for steep hills, tight signal track. also, how heavy is his stock one, and should he go with a replacment flywheel weight or add-on weight. Thanks for your help.

I put a 12 oz on my KX250 and it made it much harder to stall. I didn't notice any loss of power delivery. Traction was better too. I prefer heavier flywheel action.

As far as I know there is only one size flywheel and several add on weights. Steahly is the more well known, but mine is made by SBS.
