Ok so I bought a gnarly(i think) pipe from dennis kirk and i go to put it on. I can only get it in to the point of the gasket. Is the gasket supposed to go into the engine? If so is there any trick you guys use to get it on. Im tempted to use a rubber mallate and bash it in :clue: :p

thanks,
rob

I have the same pipe on mine; fit is wanting but it'll go with some patience and creative workings.

When you say gasket you mean the washer/spacer on the exhaust port? You can get it to stick to either the pipe or the port with a thin film of oil or grease. That part *has* to go in otherwise the contact/vibration with the pipe inlet would wear the aluminum port.

Another thing: the bulge near the gas tank needs a few hits with a ball pein hammer - otherwise it will melt it a bit (not good) as the tank settles.
