In the service manual it is different, it says it's called a fork top cap wrench, and also there is one called a steering nut socket wrench, both of which i can't find anywhere. Any ideas?
I don't know about others on here, but when I did the forks on my bike, I just tightened the cap until it was as tight as I could get it by hand, where the fork tube bottomed on the threads.. Then put it in the clamps and torqued the clamps to the proper torque spec.
They won't go anywhere with the top clamp putting pressure on them, so I don't think that they have to be torqued on.
