Eric Gorr's tuning manual says 120mm max for a 1990. If I recall the 89-91 had the same forks. I'm assuming that's measured with the fork compressed and oil level is measured down from the top.
If all else fails and your forks are still together measure what comes out with a ratio rite and replace.
