i hav a 97 rm 125 and it has old style forks where there top is the rod that slides down into the bottom of the fork as opposed to inverted forks today i was just wonderin when the companys decided to change them and what is the advantage of it if any?
The "conventional" style forkes have plusher initial action and better protection for the inner tube. Disadvantages include fork leg extending below the axel and more flex in the front end.
