I have 2 86' KDXs and I'm trying to keep them running in top notch shape. So, I thought I'd work with the suspension, but I can't seen to get the forks torn apart. I can un-screw the inner cylinder, but I can't get anyfarther than there. My manuals talks about using a special fork weight for removing the inner fork from the outer, but I just don't understand how it works. Any help or websites with info would be great. Also, there are two aftermarket pipes FMF and the DG enduro for these year bikes. Anybod have any experience with either one I could use the input.

I have the snap ring out and have already removed both the dust seal and fork oil seal, but I can't get the inner cartridge out. I have it unscrewed from the bottom, but it won't come out. I've tride "yanking" on the tube but it doesn't seem to move. I haven't tried the other fork yet, so I don't know if this is an isolated problem or just lack of experience and knowledge.
