O.K. here goes :)

According to RaceTech's calculator I need .472Kg/mm Fork springs , but the closet spring I can find for my RMX is a .450kg/mm. But I can get the proper recommended 5.6 or 5.8kg/mm (5.72 recommended) shock spring.

In this case, should the shock spring be the recomended one or should I go a bit lighter to equalize :bang: ?

P.S., I ride mostly woods/X-country style, no huge jumps, and weigh 230lbs.

Thanks,
Mike

I noticed the same problem. I don't think Race Tech offers heavy enough fork springs for a 220lb + rider. Even with the spacers I have too much fork sag with the springs I bought from them. Also, it recommends a 5.8 rear spring. My sag is almost a half inch too much using that weight with a 1/4 inch free sag. I think Eric Gorr's book recommended a much higher rear spring for my weight. 225lbs. I would call other spring comanies to see what they recommend. I wouldn't compromise on the springs in any way. All of your suspension settings are based on spring rate.
