There are always a bunch of guys that hang out on the corner by my house that are packing and chatting about guns. I'll ask if you can join in.
Baggy pants and OE800 optional. :)

Are the Crips famous enough for people outside of SoCal to know who they are?

Can’t go wrong there. The smaller frame size is ideal for concealed carry. The only thing I don’t like about it is it feels top heavy to me. And the grip is just a little short. But with a fully loaded magazine in the gun the weight and handle size problems go away for the most part. I still like the P226 more, but for a compact, powerful, well built gun the P229 can’t be beat.

P.S. Invest in the tritium night sights!

I have a lot of guns. Glocks are scary because they really have no safety, although they are excellent reliable guns. The H&K .40 is really nice. Sig's are also top-quality. Before you decide, check out a Beretta Model 96. It's my favorite of all time. I love the way it shoots and fits my hand, and nothing breaks down for cleaning easier. I have the model 92 (9mm) and the 96 (.40 s&w). Check 'em out!

P.S. I'll second the tritium night sights. They rock! Not so much for shooting but for finding your gun in the dark.

Most of those guns suck when it comes to concealability.

I like the Colt Pocketlite 380 With hollow point kurs.

The gun is thin, very light and so small you can really carry it in your pocket and noone will know. I carry it in a shoulder holder or in a belt clip. I havent packed heat in 3 years but in light of all that is going on. ( I am talking about the redneck terrorist not the turban wearing ones.) See I am a Brown American.

I can carry this no noticable weight or bulk.

Now true a bigger gun could hold more ammo or more powerful.
The Colt pocketlite will hold 5 and 1 in the chamber.

I can tell you from experience, the situations in life where you will need a gun is at close range. And if you cant kill the *******s with 5 shots you dont need a gun anyway.

Take Care and be safe,

Riz

I own a 92, and love it as well (dream gun since I was a boy:) ), but the next one I'll own will be a Sig or an HK. Recently shot an HK .45, don't remember the model number. Sweetest shooting .45 ever, IMO. Ditto the plug for the tritium sights.

Out of those three, I've shot the hk and glock. I think you will like both. Either one is an excellent gun. Are you planning on concealed carry? Plinking at the range? Competitions?

Okie,

I'm an LE firearms instructor, Rangemaster and Glock Armorer for my Dept. I'd field questions via PM's if you'd like. ;)

57000, got a hostage :(

Just for the range, no competition, concealment is not an issue. I was qualified with the 1911 in the service, enjoyed shooting it, want to get back into it. Have a couple of small cal handguns, but will feel "better" with some real stopping power in the bedside table. :scream:
