Considering taking the Vermont tag route for one of my old dual sports. I’ve read about it , know about the year/ displacement, bill of sale etc etc....but one question remains.....
Will Vermont need proof of insurance ?
And if so....when I call my agent and get coverage for my old bike, would I need to have a policy that fits Vermont’s regulations or my home state?
My agent is gonna look at me like I have two heads if I say yeah I live in PA but I need coverage legal In VT.
I’m probably overthinking it.
Anyone ever actually do the Vermont tag thing?

also anyone have luck with a bike that was never actually road legal? (Some of mine were at one time, some of them were not)

thanks in advance

I have never registered through Vermont but from what I understand it is a lot harder if the bike isn't road legal. They apparently have closed the loopholes that allowed it. Hopefully someone else will chime in that has gone through it.

I am using Vermont plates, the first one I did the transfert to a NJ title and registration, my actual bike has a Vermont plate and I will keep it (annual fee so cheap)...
You don't need a insurance certificate, but a notarize bill of sale <_>...
