Everyone around here seems to think that if you take out the baffles in a fourstrokes pipe it will burn the valves, isnt it the same as putting a free flowing aftermarket pipe on it? I have just always wondered this.
burned valves, what exactly does a burned valve look like?
I have seen a few valve calamaties in my short time as a know nothing and burning exhaust valves is one of those conditions I might consider mythical.
Certainly changing your exhaust tuning could effect the temperature of the ex valve. Determining the actual point at which it is burning could be a bit more subjective.
If your pipe creates more HP I would safely bet it is not secretly destroying your exhaust valves, or their seats.
The seal of these parts is part of the true HP equation, IMHO.
That was my question to but i didnt really wanna get into an argument not knowing much about it. Around here anyone who is older than 18 or so and has a fast dirtbike or fourwheeler is treated like a master mechanic even though i know a lot more about it and im 15. O well thanks for the quick answer.
