I've posted here before, but would like to hear a few opinions since an "opportunity" fell into my lap.
Here is my info:
1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)
5'2", 110
2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
8.5 out of 10
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????
MX, Gravel pits with friends, Fields with friends, in that order.
4) Do you have any riding experience?
8 years riding, 1 season racing
5) Do you think you will race ?
Absolutely!!!
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?
As long as there is a manual, I have a mechanically inclined dad.
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?
Honda 2stroke please!
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?
Have everything but KTM within a 30 minute drive.
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?
$1000
10) Do you live in California?

19 (almost 20)
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion
I am a girl! I raced a CR 80 expert this summer, but by the end of the season I was longing for a little more "GO" because I was always racing against 125s and 250s. I was/am looking for a ktm 105, or a honda 125 with the possibility of lowering it...
However, my local shop is selling a 99 CR 250 for $999. This seems to be a little better option than getting a big bore kit for my 80, which has seen better days.
I am small, can the 250 be lowered enough? Will I kill myself trying to race it?
