Looking to make by bike 1986 cr500r turn better. I get a lot of head shake and front end wash out. I have a STOCK set-up. 0 psi in the front forks and i have never adj the fork tubes up or down. how do I get rid of head shake besided a dampner? How do you all have the forks set-up? Did you lower or raise the frame to slide the forks up or down?

Head shake:

Adjust the forks lower in the triple clamps. (If that does not improve the suspension then reduce the rebound on the front fork.)

Does adjusting the forks lower mean Raise the frame? OR
adjusting the forks higher mean lower the frame on the tubes

If you adjust the forks lower it will lengthen the wheelbase and produce greater stability at high speed, but will reduce turning and require more effort. If you raise the forks, you will turn sharper, but it will give you head shake at high speed.
