I was just curious what you use on the end of those gas cap vent hoses that are like 2in short. No dealers around me have them so i cant really look and see what is actually on the end of it. I'm getting tired of having to tuck the hose into the steering stem area because it tends to pop off every so often and it looks like people are selling those short hoses from $10-$25 and I dont think it would hard to just make one. Just thought i would ask, thanks

Its a little one way flow vent. That lets air in but not gas out. When the bikes on its side

there $7-$15 on there, I just figured why pay $10 and have to wait on shipping when i'm sure i can do it myself for prob 99cents just getting the top vent piece. Its not a huge deal i was just curious what was connected to the vent hose because i never actually had a close up look at one.

What kind of riding do you do? I put one on a Clarke 3.2 gallon oversize tank on my CR250 that I woods ride with and within 10 miles on my first ride it was broken off and broke the standoff in the gas cap off with it. I went back to a regular hose into the steering head.

Whatever you do, don't use foam in the tubing. I used a little piece of air filter foam once (many moons ago) and it did not vent.
